See the beauty of the 2024 solar maximum through both eyes!
You can’t buy solar views like this. But you can build them.
Solar glasses don’t magnify. Telescopes are uncomfortable after a few seconds. Handheld solar binoculars are shaky and too low magnification to show you detailed features on the Sun.
No one manufactures solar binoculars that can do everything Sunny can do. But now, you can build them.
Sunny is Safe
The highest-quality solar filters are permanently bolted on and protected with lens caps for peace of mind. No flimsy friction-fit cardboard or rubber bands.
Comfortable
Two-eye viewing is more comfortable and detailed than telescope views. The 90 degree angle allows you to view in comfort without straining your neck.
Hands-Free
Standard camera tripod makes Sunny hands-free, stable and easy to aim
More Detail
See every sunspot and facula detail by swapping standard telescope eyepieces. Magnify to 50x with standard optics, up to 120x with upgraded optics
Built-in Sun Finder
Easily and safely aim at the Sun. Get creative by customizing yours!
Built-in Sun Shade
Protect your face and head from heat and UV while viewing
Filter Cartridges
See more detail with filters or use color filters to see the Sun in any color you’d like
Adjust for You
Two easy knobs merge the two pictures for your unique eyes. Sunny even works for people who have a hard time using other binoculars.
Sunny supports pupillary distances from 58mm to 75mm, accommodating almost everyone.
Alternate build option for solar/night use
Buying Sunny gives you access to an alternate build option called Ember. Ember can be used for solar viewing and night skies. It has larger diagonal mirrors for full 2” eyepiece coverage, 2” filter cartridge slots, and safety dew shields that replace the solar filters during nighttime use.
The ability to customize with longer focal length lenses and its aggressive full-OTA baffling give Ember the highest image quality of any 50mm binocular or binocular telescope available.
A satisfying project
Analog Sky has perfected a new way to build telescopes and binoculars right at your kitchen table with a few simple tools. Sunny is a step-by-step video course that shows you exactly what to do.
In case you’re wondering, no, there’s nowhere you can buy anything like Sunny. No one makes it except you.
